Stevenage Cup Clash Televised
Tie confirmed for Saturday 25 January with a 5.30pm kick-off.
Everton’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Stevenage will be played on Saturday 25 January.
The game will kick-off at 5.30pm and will be broadcast live on BT Sport.
Ticket details are set to be confirmed within the next 24 hours.
The Blues’ trip to Broadhall Way is one of five ties selected for live television coverage.
The other four ties to be broadcast are Arsenal v Coventry [24 January, 7.45pm, BT Sport], Bournemouth or Burton v Liverpool [25 January, 12.45pm, ITV], Sheffield United v Norwich or Fulham [26 January, 1pm, BT Sport] and Chelsea v Stoke [26 January, 3.30pm, ITV].
Yesterday, Stevenage boss Graham Westley explained that he was looking forward to pitting his wits against Roberto Martinez’s Blues.
He said: “It won't be easy to play against the cup-holding manager or his excellent Everton team. They have some outstanding talent and a cup-holding manager doesn't loosen his grip lightly in my experience.
"We tested ourselves against them at Goodison Park [in August] and came up just short over 120 minutes. That will be good for our confidence but is unlikely to generate complacency on their part.”
