Boss Confirms Jela Enquiries
Martinez reveals two clubs have been in touch regarding striker.
Roberto Martinez has confirmed Everton have received two enquiries over the availability of Nikica Jelavic.
The Croatian, a second-half substitute against Sunderland, has yet to net this season and has been restricted to substitute appearances since the arrival of Romelu Lukaku.
And while the Blues boss says the busy festive schedule provides a chance to analyse his squad, he admits there may be a decision to be made regarding the striker when the transfer window opens next week.
He exclusively told evertontv: "We've had a couple of enquiries from two different clubs for one of our players.
"Nikica Jelavic is someone who we have made it very clear to - we've had a conversation and he has the World Cup around the corner.
"He needs to be playing minutes and we understand that. We'll always try to give it a good assessment of the situation but that's not affecting anyone at the Club.
"All we are focusing on is being as good as we can on Sunday.
"Whatever happens in January will be for the good of the football club and that's where the work is."
Tickets for Sunday's game are sold out - but there's still time to secure your seat for the visits of QPR and Norwich City. Click here to buy online.
