Duo Suspended For Southampton
Howard and Barry to serve one-match bans.
Everton will be without goalkeeper Tim Howard and midfielder Gareth Barry for Sunday's visit of Southampton, with the duo both set to serve one-match suspensions.
Howard was dismissed during the Boxing Day defeat to Sunderland for a foul on Ki Sung-Yueng that was deemed to deny a goalscoring opportunity.
Meanwhile, Barry was booked for a foul on Jack Colback, collecting his fifth yellow card of the campaign.
The 32-year-old had previously been cautioned in games against Newcastle United, Hull City, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Manager Roberto Martinez also confirmed that winger Kevin Mirallas was substituted at half-time during the clash with the Black Cats after being taken ill towards the end of the first half.
The Blues boss said: "Kevin had some sort of problem with his stomach and he had to go to the dressing room to be checked by the doctor. We made the decision to take him off at half-time.
"It's nothing serious. It's some sort of virus or bug and he should be fine."
Ross Barkley is on four yellow cards and would miss Everton's game against Stoke City on Wednesday 1 January if he collects another against Southampton. The amnesty deadline for cautions is Tuesday 31 December.
