Meet Southall At St Luke's
Legend to make guest appearance ahead of Stoke match.
Evertonians will have the chance to meet Neville Southall ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Stoke City.
The former Blues goalkeeper will be signing copies of his book as part of Everton Heritage Society’s pre-match activites in St Luke’s Church.
For the second matchday in succession, EHS will be taking residence at the Church - located on the corner of Glwadys Street and Goodison Road - in the lead-up to kick-off, offering fans the chance to take a trip down memory lane.
As well as the guest appearance from Southall, a whole host of terrific exhibits will be on display for fans to enjoy.
There will be memorabilia items on sale too, as well as other attractions that will set the scene perfectly.
Mike Pejic – the full-back who enjoyed a lengthy spell with Stoke before transferring to Everton in the mid-1970s – is another former Blue who will be in attendance.
Mike Howl, playwright of ‘Everton – Class of 63’, will also be on hand to promote his show celebrating the Blues’ title-winning achievements of 50 years ago, with the production set to open at the Dome Theatre in Liverpool city centre next month.
What's more, there will be face-painters for juniors fans, historic photographs on display, plus much more to get you in the mood for the big match.
Dr Ellen Loudon, Rev of St Luke’s, said: “The Church is pleased to be working with the Club and the Heritage Society and looks forward to developing this project together over the coming weeks and month for the benefit of both the Church community and visitors to Goodison Park."
Admission is free - you won’t be disappointed.
