The Fans' Forum Needs You
Chairman Tony Bott explains why Evertonians should apply.
Everton Fans’ Forum chairman Tony Bott is encouraging passionate and driven Blues fans to apply to become the newest members of the influential panel.
The Forum is on the hunt for four new recruits – but time is running out, with the deadline for applications arriving at 8pm this Wednesday (6 November).
Members provide a voice for supporters and can help shape the all-important decision-making process at the Club.
“We are here today to urge all Evertonians to apply,” said Mr Bott. “If you are passionate enough and want to get involved with your club, apply online. It’s about having the drive and passion to get involved with your football club and improve it.
“Everton are great in the fact there is two-way communication. The Club are looking for open and honest feedback from ourselves and we are looking to get a bit more involved in the intricacies of the Club.
“You get a fantastic opportunity when you are on the Fans’ Forum to see where the club is going, what they are aiming to do and how they are looking to project themselves forward.
“For anyone who is interested, the Fans’ Forum needs you!”
Season Ticket pricing, improving the matchday experience, providing feedback for the away fan initiative, the relocation of the Dixie Dean statue and the permanent lighting of the Everton tower are just some of the areas the Forum has focused on over the last 12 months.
Topics such as these are discussed at meetings which take place twice a month, as Bott explained: “If you are an Evertonian and have a customer number you can apply. We are looking to cater for people of all ages but basically we want people who have passion.
“We meet the senior executive team at Everton each month and also have a members only meeting partway through the month, just to make sure we have great continuity with the projects we are working on.
“It’s basically giving up two evenings a month to make sure we get good quality and we are giving the club honest and open feedback.
“We have our own agenda, the Club puts their agenda in and together we are working in harmony to achieve the best results.”
