Young Fan Set For Goodison Debut
Evertonian Ryan talks to evertonfc.com ahead of Sunday's game.
Sunday's game against Spurs will mark the Goodison Park debut of 14-year-old fan Ryan Atkinson.
Everton's exciting start to the season has inspired the teenager from Runcorn to get his dad to take him to this weekend's match.
Ryan, whose ticket cost just £20, will be accompanied to Sunday's fixture by his dad, Craig.
"I chose to go to this game as Spurs will represent a good challenge to the mighty Blues who have started off the season so well," explained Craig.
"I want to start attending as many games as possible having followed Everton from as early as I remember."
"I first went to Goodison on a tour with my uncle and really enjoyed it - but I can’t wait to see it on a matchday with a full crowd.
"I’m going with my dad, Craig, this Sunday, and hopefully it will be the first of many to come."
As well as watching the game itself, Ryan is keen to sample the pre-match activities available in the Fan Zone, which on Sunday will include the usual competitions and giveaways as well as a special appearance by participants in Everton in the Community's ground-breaking Inside Right programme which helps former servicemen and women.
He continued: "We will definitely be going to the Fan Zone on Sunday before kick-off, I’ve heard really good things about it from my friends and family about all the activity that goes on, it really gets you in the mood for the match."
Ryan's favourite player is Leighton Baines and he's hoping the flying left-back can inspire the Blues to another home victory.
"I’m expecting Everton to continue playing good attractive style of football which we’ve done superbly since the arrival of Martinez," he added. "I’m going for a hard-fought 2-1 win for Everton."
There's still time for you to join Ryan at Goodison this weekend, although there is now limited availability. Call 0871 663 1878* or click here to secure your seat.
