Learn about Everton in the Communuity's programme for veterans.
Everton will demonstrate its appreciation for those serving in the Armed Forces at this weekend’s Premier League match with Tottenham Hotspur.
On Sunday afternoon poppy wreaths will be laid in the centre circle and a minute’s silence will take place ahead of kick-off.
But it isn’t just at this time of year when Everton support servicemen and servicewomen.
The Club’s official charity, Everton in the Community, run a programme called Inside Right which helps veterans readjust to civilian life.
The initiative not only promotes physical activity and well-being but also the chance to gain football coaching qualifications as well as offering a pathway to wider training courses.
Inside Right is backed by leading military organisations including The Royal British Legion, Combat Stress, the RAF Benevolent Fund and ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and also the Football Foundation and Comic Relief.
