Everton To Assess Gibson Injury
Midfielder stretchered off during Republic of Ireland win.
Darron Gibson was stretchered off during the Republic of Ireland's 3-1 win over Kazakhstan on Tuesday evening and will return to Finch Farm for assessment.
The Blues midfielder was withdrawn on 38 minutes after landing awkwardly inside the Aviva Stadium, where Roberto Martinez was among the spectators.
The Ireland team doctor reported suspected knee ligament damage at the interval, but Gibson will undergo assessment from the Club's medical team upon his return to Merseyside.
Meanwhile, James McCarthy and Seamus Coleman both played the full 90 minutes in Dublin as interim manager Noel King's side finished the World Cup qualifying campaign with a win.
