Baines At Home With England
Full-back relishing being an international starter.
Leighton Baines is relishing his key role in the England side.
Baines started the vital World Cup qualifying win over Montenegro on Friday and is set to do likewise in Tuesday's must-win clash with Poland, with Ashley Cole again ruled out.
Pundits were universally impressed by his attacking threat last time out and the Everton man insists he's enjoying the move towards being a regular international starter.
He said: "The more experience you get at this level the better. It's been good to be involved in more qualifiers.
"We start our preparations for Tuesday now. With Poland out of the equation we don't know what to expect from them."
England would be in the play-offs should they fail to beat Poland at Wembley but Baines is hoping for a victory.
He may well find himself up against Polish captain and talisman Jakub Błaszczykowski down England's left but he is confident that the Three Lions, as a team, will be strong enough.
He added: "We're focused on the game and it's nice to know safety net of play-offs is there, but hopefully it won't be needed
"Poland have some big players, but we know if we are at our best we can get the result we need."
