Ross Barkley insists he's not in need of a rest despite playing more than any other Everton player this season.

The 19-year-old has featured in every game this term - as well as playing for England Under-21s and then the senior squad.

His performances have been a vital part of Everton's good early season form and it was the academy graduate being fouled which lead to both of Leighton Baines' free-kick goals in the weekend win over West Ham.

Barkley insisted burn-out isn't an issue despite the Blues facing a second game in four days at Fulham on Tuesday. He told evertontv: "I'm young, I feel like playing every game and, for me, the more games the better.

"It's been a good start to the season but I'm hoping to get better as it goes on."

As well as reflecting on his own positive start to the campaign, Barkley admitted he was in awe of Baines' set-piece prowess.

"It was a very happy dressing room after the game," he continued. "We got the victory and that's what we went there for. To go home with the three points and to come back from behind twice is good for the team spirit.

"You've seen out there today what he (Baines) can do. We see it in training, he's a quality player and they're the standards he sets all the time.

"It's a bonus to have players who can create something out of nothing.

"It's difficult for me to get a look in on free kicks. Kev (Mirallas) can do that as well and he does it in training. But there was no stopping Bainesy on the day.

"I get the assists for that, so that's good. I'm direct and I like to run at players so if I get brought down and Bainesy sticks them in the top corner we'll all take that."
