What The Papers Say - 18 September

Today's local and national newspapers feature plenty of coverage on Romelu Lukaku after he was presented to the media at Goodison Park on Tuesday.

Lukaku explains to the The Guardian and the Daily Star that he is planning to use his loan spell with the Blues to show Jose Mourinho that he can be the leading striker at Chelsea and follow in the footsteps of his idol Didier Drogba.

The Daily Express also carry quotes from the 20-year-old, who believes this season could be the most important of his career.

Lukaku tells the Liverpool Echo that he was so close to signing for the Blues before his move to Chelsea in 2011 after former manager David Moyes had made several trips to see him in action.

Finally, the same paper also report that Arouna Kone and Darron Gibson could make their returns against West Ham this weekend but Steven Pienaar is likely to miss out once again.
