Monday's local and national newspaper coverage is full of reaction to Saturday's 1-0 win over Chelsea at Goodison.

In the Liverpool Echo, Roberto Martinez has told Saturday's match-winner Steven Naismith to express himself on the pitch. The Blues boss wants the Scotland international to show the form he displayed for Kilmarnock and Rangers north of the border.

Also in the same paper, James McCarthy has admitted he can't wait to start learning from Gareth Barry after the loan signing's impressive debut on Saturday evening.

The Daily Mail feature quotes from Naismith who believes he is up for the fight and ready to kick-start his career at Goodison after a frustrating first year with the club.

The Daily Mirror reports that Barry believes his new club can gatecrash the top six after their performance against the title favourites on Saturday. Barry earned the plaudits in the Mirror from Mark Lawrenson, while Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp also heaped praise on the midfielder in the Daily Mail following his commanding performance in the middle of the park.

And finally, fellow Sky Sports pundit Alan Smith was at the game on Saturday and he has drawn comparisons between Ross Barkley and Paul Gascoigne in The Telegraph
