Friday’s papers cover the funeral of Everton legend Dave Hickson which took place on Thursday afternoon.
The Daily Mirror report on yesterday’s service at the Anglican Cathedral, while the Liverpool Echo’s coverage features the emotional tribute to the Cannonball Kid by Everton chairman Bill Kenwright.
The Echo also carries a story stating that the debut of on-loan Spanish forward Gerard Deulofeu may be delayed until the Blues’ tour of the US.
A number of national newspapers - such as the Independent, the Daily Express and the Daily Star - report that Everton boss Roberto Martinez is confident of keeping Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini at the club despite the reported interest in the duo.
Meanwhile, in today’s Daily Mail, Everton are linked with a move for Austria Vienna's Phillip Hosiner. The striker was a second-half substitute against the Toffees when the two sides met in a pre-season friendly earlier this month.
