New Deal For Browning
Young defender agrees a two-year contract with Everton.
Tyias Browning believes he is one step closer to fulfilling a first-team dream after signing a new two-year deal with Everton.
The defender is now contracted to the Blues – the club he has been associated with since he was 10 years old - until the summer of 2015.
Last season, Browning was a regular fixture in the Under-21s team, making more appearances than any other player for Alan Stubbs’ side.
The 19-year-old is yet to make his competitive senior debut but was named on the bench for the home Premier League fixture against Chelsea in December 2012.
This term he is keen to build on last year’s progress.
“I’m delighted - it’s what I was working towards for the last eight years,” Browning said of his contract.
“I’ve got the opportunity of another two years to try and make it to the first-team.
“I wouldn’t be here without the academy and I’ve enjoyed every moment as well. I’ve got two years to try and earn many more years.
“Last season was my best at the club but it’s only the early stages. Hopefully I will have many more.”
Browning is the latest academy graduate to commit his future to Everton, following in the footsteps of Matthew Pennington, Chris Long and Conor Grant who all recently penned their first senior contracts.
