Wednesday’s Liverpool Echo report that Blues youngster Conor McAleny could be heading to Brentford on loan.
Manager Roberto Martinez is said to be keen for the 20-year-old striker to gain important first-team experience, with Griffin Park a potential destination. Should McAleny make the temporary switch to the League One club, he would link up with former teammate Jake Bidwell who completed a permanent move to Brentford earlier this summer.
Tim Howard also features in the Echo. The American goalkeeper has been speaking about competition for places and how the signature of Spanish goalkeeper Joel Robles will add extra strength to Everton’s squad. The same story also features in the Daily Express.

The Echo also features quotes from Neil Dewsnip. The former head coach of the Everton Academy has recently left Finch Farm to take up a new position with the Football Association.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror report that Everton will miss out on signing Swansea winger Nathan Dyer. The 25-year-old is said to be close to inking a new contract at the Liberty Stadium.
Another tabloid paper says that Manchester United boss David Moyes has a week to decide whether he wants to sign Toffees midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
