Thursday’s newspapers link Roberto Martinez with a double transfer raid on his former club Wigan Athletic.
The Daily Express and Daily Mail claim that the Blues boss will snap up both Arouna Kone and Antolin Alcaraz, with deals for the pair set to be completed before the end of the week.
The Guardian report that Goodison Park could be a potential destination for Ecuador international Jefferson Montero. The 23-year-old winger, who plays for Mexican side Morelia, is a target for West Ham United but Everton are also believed to be interested.
