Saturday's newspaper coverage is centred around summer transfer speculation.

The Liverpool Echo suggest that Roberto Martinez is unlikely to bring Callum McManaman to Everton this summer as he looks to build on the existing squad. The 22-year-old Wigan winger has been one of the players strongly tipped to follow the new Blues manager to Goodison Park after a strong season in the Premier League and his significant role in Wigan's FA Cup success.

Also in the Liverpool Echo, John Lundstram insists that England's Under 20's do not feel increased pressure following the Under 21's early exit from the European Championships in Israel. The Everton midfielder is in Peter Taylor's squad for the World Cup which begins on June 23 and believes that the team are good enough to go all the way in the competition.

The Independent report that Roberto Martinez is close to making his first signing as Everton manager. Antolin Alcaraz is available on a free transfer now that he is out of contract at Wigan Atheletic and it is suggested that following talks with the Blues, an agreement is likely in the near future.

Speculation continues that David Moyes will target Leighton Baines as one of his summer signings for Manchester United, with a report in The Daily Telegraph also suggesting that the former Everton manager is less interested in Marouane Fellaini because of a buy-out clause.

And finally, there are reports that former Everton loan signing Royston Drenthe has agreed a three-year deal with Reading.
