Reaction to Roberto Martinez's appointment continues in Friday's local and national newspapers.
The Liverpool Echo report Martinez is relishing the challenge of winning over a new set of fans, while Phil Jagielka talks of his excitement at the Spaniard's arrival.
The same paper suggest Martinez will move quickly in the transfer market and that the 39-year-old is looking to make Spartak Moscow winger Aiden McGeady and out-of-contract Wigan defender Antolin Alcaraz his first signings.
The same paper also report that Everton will open contract talks with Leighton Baines.
The Daily Mirror, Daily Telegraph and Independent are among various national papers claiming that Blues chairman Bill Kenwright is keen to open talks with Baines over a new long-term deal.
The Guardian add that both Baines and Marouane Fellaini are on the radar of Manchester United's former Everton boss David Moyes.
In The Times, however, it is suggested Arsenal have moved ahead of United and rivals Chelsea in the reported battle for Fellaini's signature. They say the Gunners are preparing to trigger a £24million release clause in the Belgian's contract.
