What The Papers Say - 13 May

The views on this page are taken from the local and national media and do not necessarily reflect the views of Everton.

Monday's newspapers report on an emotional afternoon at Goodison Park.

Everton beat West Ham 2-0 in David Moyes' final home game in charge - and the outgoing Blues boss admitted he was humbled by the reception he received from the fans.

Moyes' reaction appears in the Independent, Guardian, Daily Mirror and Liverpool Echo while match reports can also be found across the board.

Also in the Mirror, Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has his say on rumours that Latics boss Roberto Martinez is on the shortlist to takeover at Goodison.

And in the Echo, more quotes from Moyes feature as he declares the current Blues squad to be one that is capable of being successful.

Phil Neville also has his say following his own Goodison departure, with the injured skipper reflecting on eight memorable years on Merseyside.
