Coleman Set For 'Big Week'

Seamus Coleman says victory over Fulham was vital in setting Everton up for a strong performance in the Anfield derby.

The 1-0 win over the Cottagers was much more comfortable than the scoreline suggested - and also kept Everton in the hunt for Europe.

If that dream is to be achieved, a positive result against Liverpool on Sunday will also be required.

Coleman told evertontv: "There is still plenty to play for, we have to just win our games and hope the teams above slip-up.

"It's going to be a big week. Derbies mean a lot to the fans but it means just as much to us. We will be going all out to win at Anfield."

The Irishman himself has been in excellent form this season and claimed the assist for Steven Pienaar's goal on Saturday.

Modestly, Coleman played down his own contribution, insisting his sole focus is to play well enough to keep his first-team place.

He continued: "It was very good to get an assist. Tony Hibbert has been out injured for a long time and he is back now, so I have to play as well as I can every week to keep him out, which isn't going to be easy.

"I thought we were comfortable (against Fulham) but 1-0 is a very dangerous scoreline. All it takes is one set piece or something like that.

"We were slightly disappointed not to get the second goal but we got three points in the end.

"We played well from the start and controlled the game after the goal."

Oscar Knows His HistoryWe HAVE to win on Sunday. If we don't, the season reverts to 'trying to finish ahead of Liverpool' again, which would be such a shame considering how good we've been this season. We deserve Europe.
