A round-up of what the papers are saying about Everton.

What The Papers Say - 17 April

The views on this page are taken from the local and national media and do not necessarily reflect the views of Everton.

Everton's 0-0 draw at Arsenal dominates Wednesday's papers.

The Blues' solid display is noted by all the national newspapers but there were a couple of specific incidents which were reserved for special attention.

Jack Wilshere's reaction to allegedly being squirted with a drinks bottle by Kevin Mirallas earns plenty of attention, including in the Daily Mirror and Daily Telegraph.

And Arsene Wenger's claims that Everton were too physical were reported in the Daily Star with David Moyes offering a swift riposte.

In the Liverpool Echo Leighton Baines says that it was an inspirational performance by Everton, hailing the Blues team spirit.

Margaret WalchI would still prefer to read the actual piece from the paper, not a brief paraphrase.
