What The Papers Say - 9 April
A round-up of Tuesday's local and national newspapers.
As many as five Everton players feature in Tuesday's local and national newspapers.
Victor Anichebe appears in the Daily Express, the Daily Mail and the Liverpool Echo talking about his growing self-belief and how David Moyes' determination is driving the Blues on in their quest for a return to European football.
The Daily Mail also feature the latest in our Make Their Day series, in which Leighton Baines surprised a nominated fan with a 2013/14 Season Ticket. Click here to watch the video.
The same newspaper have been digging through top-flight stats and reveal that Baines is one of only three players to have played every minute of Premier League action in 2012/13. The England left-back has clocked up 2,880 minutes so far this term.
Furthermore, Baines is named as the most creative player in the top five European leagues, creating 97 goalscoring opportunities - more than anyone else in the current campaign.
The Times, the Daily Express and the Daily Telegraph all claim that Nikica Jelavic is considering his future at Everton and will seek reassurances after losing his starting place.
Locally, the Liverpool Echo report on Tony Hibbert's return from injury for the Club's Under-21s on Monday evening and also link the Blues with a move for 17-year-old Kilmarnock defender Mark O'Hara.
Meanwhile, John Heitinga tells the Echo that Everton are just as desperate for three points as Saturday's opponents, relegation-threatened QPR.
