Bale To Miss Everton Visit
Ankle problem rules Bale out of Sunday's game.
Tottenham will be without Gareth Bale for Sunday's game against Everton after he injured his ankle on Thursday night.
Bale, one of the season's standout players, has 17 goals in the league this term but was stretchered off late on during Spurs' 2-2 draw with FC Basel.
Everton manager David Moyes insisted the White Hart Lane trip remains one of the season's toughest despite Bale's absence.
“They have got other good players in the squad who they can bring in,” the Scot told evertontv.
“It’s a real tough game. Tottenham are one of the top sides in the country and have been hovering around second, third and fourth all season.
“They are doing really well in Europe this year too. They are one of the best sides in the league, without a doubt.”
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas said: "There is a big possibility he is going to be able to make it for the Man City game (on 21 April) and he will only miss the next two games, but assurances we can only give you (on Friday) when we have seen the scan.
"I do not want to mislead you. (Friday) we will know better but I'm pretty confident that Gareth will definitely play again this season. From the medical department's first analysis, everything is positive."
Spurs will also be without Jermain Defoe when Everton visit on Sunday, while William Gallas also limped out of their Europa League clash.
