Everton Ladies have secured three new signings on the eve of the new season.
The Toffees have been boosted ahead of Saturday's derby clash with Liverpool by the acquisition of Northern Irish pair Simone Magill and Julie Nelson.
New Everton boss Andy Spence has swooped to bring up-and-coming forward Magill, 18, from homeland club Mid-Ulster Ladies. Despite her age, the pacy striker has already accrued almost 20 international caps.
Experienced defender Nelson, 28, arrives on Merseyside with close to 50 appearances for her country and having most recently played in Iceland for IVB.
Spence told evertonfc.com: "I am delighted to welcome Julie and Simone to Everton. They bring a perfect mixture of youth and experience to the squad and their qualities fit in well with what we are trying to do here."
Everton have also added 18-year-old goalkeeper Lizzie Durack to their squad. The teenage custodian grew up in Australia but is part of the England Under-19 squad having arrived from Western Sydney Wanderers.
"Lizzie has been with us for a number of weeks now and has impressed us not only with her quality, but also how well she has coped with the move over - which is a great credit to her," added Spence.
All three players could be involved when Everton face Liverpool in the season-opening Continental Cup clash on Saturday evening.
The derby kicks-off at 7.30pm at Halton Stadium, which is where Liverpool Ladies will be playing their home games this season. Admission on the day of the game is priced at just £5 for adults and £2 for concessions.
Alternatively, tune into ESPN from 7.15pm to watch the game live.
