CEO Speaks At Manchester Business School
Robert Elstone talks Premier League finance.
Everton chief executive Robert Elstone gave a presentation at the prestigious Manchester Business School earlier this week.
Mr Elstone's presentation centred around the theme of 'on any one Saturday' and discussed in detail the financial situation of the Premier League.
It revealed that the Premier League, as a whole, earns 65% more than Serie A and 45% more than La Liga.
Each weekend nine out of 10 seats at Premier League stadia are occupied and the people sitting in them spend, on average, £8 each on food, drink, betting and merchandise.
Mr Elstone's presentation also highlighted that local economies in towns and cities across the country benefit from £3m of football-related business each matchday and reflected on the immense importance of ever-increasing revenue from broadcasters and major sponsors.
Manchester Business School is globally renowned, with its MBA course ranked as the third best of its kind in the world by Bloomberg Business Week.
