Magic Numbers: Oldham Athletic
All the stats you need to know ahead of tonight's game.
Everton will be looking to book a place in the last eight of the FA Cup on Tuesday evening when they welcome Oldham Athletic to Goodison Park.
Here we preview the fifth round replay with the help of stats, facts and numbers…
1 Everton FA Cup hat-tricks scored in the post-war era. Graeme Sharp is the only player to have netted a treble in the competition since 1946, sticking three past former Toffees stopper Martin Hodge in a 5-0 third round win at Sheffield Wednesday in January 1988. The Goodison legend also had a managerial spell at Oldham from 1994 to 1997. The last FA Cup hat-trick at Goodison Park was scored by the great Tommy Lawton against Doncaster Rovers in 1939.
2 FA Cup replays at Goodison Park during the David Moyes era. The Toffees emerged victorious from both, ousting Millwall in 2006 and Liverpool in 2009. Both replays ended 1-0.
5 Previous occasions Everton and Oldham have been drawn together in the FA Cup. The Latics have won three of those ties, prevailing in 1912/13, 1989/90 and most recently at Goodison Park in 2007/08. Everton won the first two FA Cup meetings between the sides, in 1907/08 and 1911/12.
9 Goals scored by Everton in the FA Cup this season, all by different players. The run equals a Club record in the competition set in 1905/06 and 1994/95 – a good omen perhaps, as we won the cup in both those seasons!
12 Players who have scored in cup competitions for Everton this season, a Club record for a single campaign. Remarkably the last 11 goals in cup competitions have all been scored by different players.
49 Everton goals for Leon Osman, with five coming in the FA Cup. The midfielder and Victor Anichebe are the only players to net for us in both domestic cup competitions this season.
413 FA Cup matches played by Everton in their history. Of those, 204 have been staged at home, where the Blues have won 140 and lost just 33.
449 Home goals scored by Everton in the FA Cup.
