Darron Gibson says Everton are desperate to get back to Wembley and right the wrongs of last season's hurtful semi-final defeat against Liverpool.
The midfielder was part of the squad that went all the way to the last four and led at the national stadium before conceding two second-half goals to exit at the hands of their Merseyside rivals.
Victory against Oldham in Tuesday's fifth round replay would put David Moyes' men just 90 minutes from a Wembley return, with a last-eight home tie against Wigan the prize for overcoming the League One Latics.
"I love playing at Wembley," Gibson told evertontv. "Obviously last season it was great getting there but it was disappointing to lose.
"We started the game really well, went 1-0 up but maybe froze a little bit. Hopefully we can get back there this year and make it right.
"Having it [the route to Wembley] laid out in front of us does make it a bit easier because we know if we play well enough we can beat Oldham.
"Then, if we make it to the next round, we know Wigan are a good team but we have played them at home already this season and beaten them."
Read more from Gibson in Tuesday's matchday programme. The edition also includes interviews with three men with ties to both clubs - Andy Holden, Paul Gerrard and Graeme Sharp.
