Young Lions Call For Long

Blues forward named in England Under-18 squad for friendly.

Chris Long has been named in the England Under-18 squad for next month's friendly against Belgium.

The forward has been in fine form for the young Blues, netting 11 goals to help Kevin Sheedy's side qualify for the Elite league group and reach the last eight of the FA Youth Cup.

Long scored on England Under-18s’ last outing, providing the opener in October's 2-0 win over Italy.

A member of the Club's Academy from the age of five, Long has previously represented his country twice with the Under-16s and four times at Under-17 level.

England Under-18s head to the Tivoli Stadium in La Louvière to face Belgium on Tuesday 5 March.
