Mirallas' Quest For Top Form
Belgian flyer keen to regain top form after return from injury.
Kevin Mirallas is desperate to recapture his best form as soon as possible.
The Belgian winger is playing again after a lengthy hamstring absence and has featured in the last four games for the Blues.
He is now focussed on returning to the type of performances which saw him quickly become a key part of Everton's attacking threat earlier this season.
"It has been tough being out," said Mirallas. "Until now the longest I’d ever been out in my career was a month. It’s been tough and then obviously to have the setback, having come back the other game (a short-lived return against Spurs was curtailed by a relapse of the same hamstring problem), was quite tough.
"With the backing of my family, the club and by working hard I hope it’s behind me now and that it’s a thing of the past. Hopefully I can continue to get some games under my belt."
Mirallas played 45 minutes for Belgium in midweek and is now preparing to face Manchester United on Sunday.
"I hope to be back at 100 per cent as quickly as possible," he continued. "It’s all about getting some games under my belt now and playing regularly. Hopefully that form will come back as quickly as possible.
"Manchester United on Sunday is a massive occasion for us and will be a good test to see exactly where we are as a team.
"We’re a very good side and have a very good squad. Every weekend’s difficult but it’s a good test for us.
Then newly-signed, Mirallas was a fascinated onlooker on the opening day of Everton's season when United were defeated 1-0.
"They’re currently top of the league and I suppose they’ll be out for revenge," he added. "You mention the match here at the start of the season and I think they’ll be even more determined to take the 3 points off us this time."
