Moyes: Two Points Dropped
But boss satisfied with two wins and a draw from last three games.

David Moyes described the 3-3 draw with Aston Villa as a ‘great game for the neutrals’ but accepted it was a missed opportunity for Everton to move back into the top-four of the Premier League.
Marouane Fellaini inspired a dramatic fight-back for the Blues after his fellow Belgian, Christian Benteke, had also netted a brace.
Moyes was full of praise for his team’s fighting spirit, although he acknowledged they left themselves with too much to do in the second half.
And when asked whether he thought his team had dropped two points, the Blues boss said: “I think so, but it happens.
“It was a good game for the neutral. I thought we played well, except for the opening five minutes or so. We didn’t defend well but we played well throughout.
“I told the players at half-time that they had to go out and try to win the game. I said to them that they might need to score four to do that and in the end I was right.
“But I can’t fault the players because I thought they did a great job today. We went to try and win it and even when it got to 3-3 we had two chances to make it 4-3. We were a bit unlucky.
“We will keep going and try to get those victories. We played well today, kept knocking on the door but Aston Villa were a threat on the break.
“If at the start of the week you had given me a win in the cup and four points, I might have taken that.”
It was the first time that Everton have conceded more than two goals in a game this season and Moyes conceded his team had struggled to cope with Villa’s attacking threat.
He continued: “If anyone thinks Benteke, N’zogbia and Agbonlahor can’t cause you problems, they are wrong.
“They have got some really good attacking players with speed, power and pace. We were ready for that but we just didn’t deal with it well.
“We are happy with how Fellaini got his goals for us and I’m sure they will be happy with how Benteke did for them.”

Philip ScottIf Heitinga plays next week we are going to need 6 to avoid defeat - perhaps why Neville was benched? At best, Heitinga is defensive midfield not last line of defence.

alexis leungI suggest let Vic and Felli split this weeks salary of Heitinga, Distin and Howard. Vic has made a huge step forward this season. Great CF in the make.

Kent HenriksenYeah Heitinga should have been on the bench from the start. Rather play with Oviedo at the right back ...Jags/Distin is certainly our best pair in the middle.
