Everton have completed the transfer of defender John Stones from Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.
The Club agreed a deal with the Championship outfit on Thursday evening and the 18-year-old right-back has passed a medical, agreed personal terms and signed a five-and-a-half year contract.
An England Under-19 international, Stones came through the ranks at Oakwell before making his first-team debut in March 2012.
Since then, the 6ft 2ins starlet has taken his tally of appearances for the Tykes to 28, scoring his first goal in a 4-3 League Cup victory over Rochdale in August.
He said: "I am very excited to be joining Everton. I've been very impressed with everything I have seen at Finch Farm already. Now the hard work begins."

Ever TanA welcomed signing. Would have loved to seen a loan for a striker or another winger....or even for Straq -- we could use a dose of his tenacity up front.
