Unique Shirt For Villa Visit
Chang donate shirt space to Everton in the Community.
Everton’s home shirt will take on a unique look this weekend with the Blues set to proudly display the Everton in the Community logo in celebration of the charity’s 25th anniversary.
The Club’s main sponsor, Chang, has generously donated the space on the front of the shirt for Saturday’s visit of Aston Villa, a fixture which coincides with the charity’s silver jubilee.
Everton in the Community was established on 1 February 1988 and over the last 25 years has grown to be one of the most well-respected and pioneering sporting charities in the UK.
To mark the anniversary, the charity is inviting all Evertonians to be part of an ambitious fundraising campaign to raise £1million, money that will help the charity in its mission to support even more vulnerable and underprivileged people on Merseyside.
Everton in the Community is asking 40,000 supporters, the capacity of Goodison Park, to each raise just £25 to help them achieve their target.
Chang’s thoughtful gesture is yet further proof of the strong and fruitful relationship between Thailand’s premier beer brand and Everton, a nine-year partnership which has bred the longest shirt deal in the Premier League.
This is just one of the events being staged to celebrate the 25th anniversary, with supporters also set to be treated to a feast of entertainment ahead of kick-off.
Among the activities will be giveaways, music, special guest appearances and face painting on the outdoor Everton Road Show (located in the Park End car park) - and Everton in the Community staff and volunteers will be on hand to encourage supporters to get in the party spirit.
Everton in the Community is sincerely grateful for Chang’s generosity to support the charity in its mission to raise £1million to help improve the lives of the people of Merseyside.
