Alan Stubbs has named a strong side for this evening’s Under-21s fixture against Blackburn Rovers.

Jan Mucha, Magaye Gueye, Apostolos Vellios, Francisco Junior, Shane Duffy and Bryan Oviedo all get run-outs at the Leigh Sports Village (7pm kick-off).

Vellios made a late substitute appearance for the first team against Swansea City at the weekend, while Bryan Oviedo impressed in his third senior start for the club against Cheltenham Town in the FA Cup last Monday.

David Moyes has included Duffy in his matchday squad 16 times this season, with the Irish defender appearing from the bench against Leyton Orient and West Ham United.

The aforementioned Capital One Cup second round tie against Leyton Orient in August also saw Gueye score his only senior goal of the season to date.

The full Everton Under-21s team to face Blackburn is listed below:

Mucha, Browning, Oviedo, Francisco Junior, Duffy, Hammar, Gueye, Lundstram, Vellios, McAleny, Hope (Subs: Springthorpe, Green, Jones, Johns, McLaughlin)
