First Day Of Blue Christmas

City landmark gets an Everton makeover to mark #bluecrimbo.

A Liverpool landmark got the #bluecrimbo treatment on Wednesday evening as we stepped up our quest to turn the city Blue.
 
The Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral received a special Everton makeover as we started to count down the 12 Days Of Blue Christmas.
 
In the build up, we teased fans with the clue below - giving you some idea where our #bluecrimbo team would be.

"This isn’t what Sir Edwin Lutyens had in mind – but it has earned a place in the hearts of the city’s people."
 
Hundreds of you worked it out and fans have been uploading their pictures to Facebook and Twitter following the lights being switched on.


 
Every day between now and Sunday 23 December, we will be adding a new building to a hitlist.
 
The Blue makeovers will mostly take place between the hours of 4-8pm - although not in every case - and clues will be posted each day on evertonfc.com, Twitter and Facebook.
 
It's all part of our wider campaign to turn our virtual map of the city entirely Blue.

One way to win is to take a photo of whichever building we target on Thursday. We've got one in mind, so here's the clue:
 
"A location, location currently, currently providing, providing a hearty, hearty welcome, welcome to a visitor, visitor from Ireland, Ireland."
