A first-half blitz ensured Everton took all three points when Tottenham visited Goodison Park nine seasons ago.

David Moyes recorded his first win against Spurs as goals from David Unsworth, Gary Naysmith and Joseph Yobo set the Blues on their way to a 3-1 win in April 2004.

The north Londoners were blown away by a rampant Toffees side who were three goals to the good at half-time.

Unsworth prodded in from close range on 17 minutes before Naysmith’s 25-yard free-kick doubled the lead.

Just before the break, Yobo converted after Kasey Keller had pushed Thomas Gravesen’s set-piece into his path.

Stephen Carr clawed a goal back for David Pleat’s team 15 minutes before full-time, but the defender’s match ended early when he was sent off just two minutes after putting the ball in the back of the net.

Tottenham are again the visitors to Goodison Park on Sunday and tickets for the fixture are now on general sale.
