Bryan Oviedo makes his first league start as one of two changes to the Everton line-up to face Norwich.

Ovideo replaces Marouane Fellaini who is suspended, while Sylvain Distin comes in for injured Seamus Coleman.

That switch could see John Heitinga move to right-back.

Neither Darron Gibson or Kevin Mirallas are fit to play despite both players being on the road to recovery following thigh and hamstring injuries respectively.

German Thomas HItzlsperger gets a first Goodison start after making his full debut at Reading last time out.

Either Steven Pienaar or Steven Naismith could play a more central role to replace Fellaini, with Ovideo likely to operate on the left flank.

Everton's youthful bench includes Ross Barkley, back from a loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday and Scottish winger Matt Kennedy.

Everton (to face Norwich): Howard, Baines, Heitinga, Jagielka, Jelavic, Oviedo, Naismith, Distin, Hitzlsperger, Osman, Pienaar.

Subs: Mucha, Hibbert, Gueye, Barkley, Vellios, Kennedy, Duffy.

Norwich: Ruddy, Garrido, Bassong, R.Bennett, Whittaker, Pilkington, Johnson, Tettey, Snodgrass, Hoolahan, Holt (c).
