Moyes: Gibson Making Progress
Midfielder heading in the right direction, says Blues boss.
David Moyes hopes to have Darron Gibson back in the first team soon.
The midfielder began his return from a three month groin injury lay-off last weekend with 63 minutes of action for the Under-21s as they drew with Reading.
Moyes now has Phil Neville out injured while Marouane Fellaini misses the upcoming game against Norwich through suspension.
The Everton manager told evertontv: "Preparations have been okay. We have got a few injuries but everybody looks fine and we are getting ready for the game.
"Darron Gibson is starting to make some recovery and he’s going in the right direction. That’s positive and we hope he won’t be too far away.
"Someone will have to come in because unfortunately Fellaini is suspended, but it was always going to happen at some time."
Everton welcome Norwich to Goodison on Saturday with the Canaries in good form and having beaten Manchester United last time out.
The game is the first of back-to-back home matches for the Blues, with Arsenal in town on Wednesday.
Moyes continued: "Norwich are very good defensively. Chris Hughton seems to have got them organised and hard to beat and hard to play against, so we expect a difficult game.
"It’s no more important than any period before. We will try and make the most of it. At the moment we have played more away games than we have home games so it will balance it up at the end of this period."
