Everton entertain in-form Norwich City on Saturday afternoon looking to continue their unbeaten start to the campaign at Goodison Park.

Here we preview the game with the aid of stats, facts and numbers…

1 Players who have scored two goals for Everton in a Premier League game against Norwich after Nikica Jelavic completed the feat in our 2-2 draw at Carrow Road last season. If the Croatian nets again on Saturday he will overtake Paul Rideout to become our leading Premier League scorer against the Canaries.

4 Goals required by the Toffees to reach 1,000 in the Premier League. If the Blues need any encouragement to reach this mark on Saturday they need look no further than
the Club’s 7-1 win over Sunderland, which happened five years ago this weekend.

Jelavic Norwich GoalThis weekend could see Nikica Jelavic become Everton's leading goalscorer against Norwich.

5 Matches against Norwich City as Everton boss for David Moyes. The Scot has registered three wins and two draws against the Canaries, making them statistically his second favourite opponents. However, this five-game unbeaten run is dwarfed by the 18 matches without defeat against Sunderland.

8 Everton’s current unbeaten sequence of matches against Norwich in all competitions. The Blues’ last defeat was a 3-0 reverse at Carrow Road in March 1994.

10 Matches unbeaten at Goodison for the Toffees in all competitions, with eight games won and two drawn.  The Blues have lost just one of their last 19 home games in league and cup competitions.

11 Full internationals in Everton’s starting line-up at Reading last Saturday – the first time this has happened in the Club’s history. There were nine different nationalities involved, with only England represented more than once. The first time we fielded as many as 10 internationals in a starting line-up was as long ago as August 1985, on the opening day of the season at Leicester City. On that occasion, defender Derek Mountfield was the one player without a cap.

Leon Osman EnglandLeon Osman was part of an Everton team containing 11 internationals at Reading .

51 Meetings in all competitions between the two clubs. Of those, Everton have won 21 and lost just 15.  The Toffees were Norwich’s first ever opponents in the top flight in August 1972, a match which ended in a 1-1 draw at Carrow Road.

81 Minutes in John Ruddy’s Everton career. The Canaries’ keeper came on as a substitute for the red-carded Iain Turner in the 1-0 victory over Blackburn at Goodison in February 2006. It remains the only time two keepers have made their Premier League debut for one team in the same game. As a result, Ruddy joined a select band of four Toffees keepers who kept a clean sheet on their only appearance.

FACT: There was another interesting coincidence linking both men five years later. In August 2011, while Everton were recording a repeat 1-0 win over Blackburn, Ruddy was being sent off in Norwich’s game at Chelsea, while Turner scored from his own penalty area for Preston against Notts County.

John Ruddy Everton Blackburn Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy played just 81 minutes for Everton.

200 Premier League home matches David Moyes will reach as Everton manager on Saturday. Of those, a total of 104 have been won, with just 46 finishing in defeats.

299 League starts for Leighton Baines during his career, of which 159 have been for the Toffees.

6,666 Top-flight goals scored by Everton following Steven Naismith’s effort at Reading last weekend.
