Barkley To Return To Blues
Midfielder's loan deal at Sheffield Wedneday expires.
Ross Barkley
Ross Barkley is to return to Everton after his loan deal with Sheffield Wednesday expired.
The 18-year-old has been with the Championship outfit since mid-September but will now head back to Goodison Park with immediate effect.
Barkley initially moved to Hillsborough on a one-month deal – an agreement which was later extended by a further four weeks.
That contract came to an end following the Owls’ 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Saturday and the Blues have decided to bring the youngster back to Merseyside.
Everton have been hit by the news that captain Phil Neville will be out for up two months after undergoing knee surgery on Friday.
And with Darron Gibson still nursing his way back from a thigh injury and Kevin Mirallas also out due to a hamstring strain, manager David Moyes’ midfield options have been depleted.
Barkley made 12 starts and one substitute appearance for the Owls, scoring four goals.

Ross TraynorGreat news considering Fellaini's suspension and Kev's injury. Hope he is Moyes' plans for the weekend. A midfield of Peanuts, Gibbo/Hitz, Osman and Barkley would be boss!
