KEVIN MIRALLAS has avoided a lengthy injury lay-off after scans revealed damage to his hamstring is not as serious as first feared.
The Everton forward was forced off during the win over Sunderland on Saturday, sparking initial concerns he could be facing up to a month on the sidelines.
Although it is unlikely he will recover in time for the Premier League trip to Reading this weekend, the exciting £5.5m summer signing could be back in action for the visit of Norwich City on November 24.
Mirallas had been due to meet up with the Belgium squad ahead of their friendly against Romania tonight, but the injury meant remained on Merseyside and will now step-up his recovery program.
Meanwhile, Seamus Coleman believes Everton were rewarded for sticking to their attacking principles as they came from behind again on Saturday.
The Blues became the only team in Premier League history to go behind in six consecutive games and still avoid defeat.
“It was disappointing to concede a goal just on half-time, a big blow,” said Coleman. “But we went out in the second half and we kept trying to play and thankfully it paid off with two great goals.”

West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame is attracting interest from rival clubs just four months after signing on a free transfer from Wigan.
The 25-year-old is understood to have a clause in his contract that allows him to talk to other clubs if £7million is offered.
The Senegal star was outstanding against Newcastle on Sunday and Everton and Fulham are among his admirers.
