Everton midfielder Leon Osman will win his first England cap on Wednesday night.
The Billinge-born star has been confirmed in the starting line-up for the Three Lions' friendly against Sweden after being called-up to the senior squad for the first time last week.
Osman, 31, is one of several new faces set to win their first caps in Stockholm, with Liverpool's Raheem Sterling and Tottenham's Steven Caulker also included by boss Roy Hodgson.
As expected Leighton Baines will again start at left-back in place of the injured Ashley Cole, while Phil Jagielka is among the substitutes.
"He [Osman] is a very energetic player," noted Hodgson on Tuesday. "I was told he is 31 which surprises me.
"I thought 'he plays like a much younger man so let’s hope he continues to play like a much younger man and I won’t have to worry about his birth certificate'."
England XI: Hart, Johnson, Baines, Gerrard (c), Cahill, Caulker, Sterling, Osman, Welbeck, Cleverley, Young. Subs: Jenkinson, Ruddy, Bertrand, Jagielka, Shawcross, Wilshere, Huddlestone, Zaha, Sturridge, Forster.
