Boss Seeks Jela Goal Glut
Moyes hoping for more Jelavic goals after Sunderland strike.
David Moyes hopes Nikica Jelavic's strike against Sunderland will reignite his goalscoring form.
Such is the Croat's reputation in front of goal that the three matches he'd gone without scoring had begun to raise some eyebrows.
But a typically predatory strike against Sunderland will do him the power of good, according to his manager.
Moyes told evertontv: "I am sure that will help him and hopefully we will start to see a run of goals from Jela again.
"When you are a goalscorer you need the goals for your confidence and your all-round play.
"The ball hasn't quite been falling for him but in the end we stuck with it and he came up with the goal."
Jelavic's winner against the Black Cats owed plenty to a deft flick by Marouane Fellaini, undoubtedly Everton's man in form.
"His contribution at the moment has been excellent," agreed Moyes. "His form is good and we need his goals at the moment.
"It's great at the moment that Felli is carrying the baton."
