When Sunderland visited Goodison Park in April, Everton produced a masterclass in finishing to record an emphatic win that would prove their joint-biggest of the entire campaign.

Having dispatched of the Black Cats in the last eight of the FA Cup just 13 days earlier, the Blues went into the game with confidence in full flow.

And even without the in-form Nikica Jelavic, the hosts ran riot, heaping further woe on their opponents with a sublime second-half show.

In front of 32,249 at Goodison Park, Magaye Gueye got the ball rolling when he lashed in from a tight angle on 52 minutes before Steven Pienaar (74) and Leon Osman (76) made victory safe with carbon copy curled efforts.

And there was still time for Victor Anichebe to thump one in off midfielder Jack Colback 10 minutes from the end to complete a stunning 4-0 rout.
