Pudsey's Football Fundraiser
Children In Need and BBC Radio Five Live team up for appeal.
Everton welcomed a very special guest to Goodison Park on Sunday – Children in Need’s Pudsey Bear.
The Club is supporting this year’s BBC Children in Need appeal and to help raise awareness of the campaign, Pudsey was invited to walk around the pitch before kick-off with Changy the Elephant.
Pudsey also took part in the Everton roadshow activity in the Park End and was given a warm reception by the Goodison faithful when he walked onto the pitch at half-time at the 219th Merseyside derby.
For this year’s appeal, Children in Need has teamed up with BBC Radio Five Live to host their first ever football fundraiser, to celebrate the work carried out all over the UK with disadvantaged children – including groups that help children through football.
A short film has been created about one of the groups that Children in Need supports – a football club for children who are physically disabled or have learning difficulties – so please take a few minutes to watch some of the fantastic work carried out.
It’s really simple to donate, simply text the word FOOTBALL to 70705. Your £5 donation will really make a difference to the wide range of projects that are supported by BBC Children in Need in the UK.
Text messages will cost £5 plus your standard network charge and every penny will go to BBC Children in Need. For full terms and conditions, please visit bbc.co.uk/Pudsey.
