Young Lions Call For Duo

Conor Grant and Chris Long named in England U18s squad.

Everton duo Conor Grant and Chris Long have been named in the England Under-18 squad for this month's friendly against Italy.

The attack-minded pair have featured for the Blues' Under-18 and Under-21 sides this term, with midfielder Grant netting in the latter's 2-0 win at Norwich City on Monday.

Head Coach Noel Blake announced his 18-man squad on Thursday afternoon, with both Everton players receiving a first call-up at this level.

In-form striker Long had already represented England at Under-16 and Under-17 level, but Grant is previously uncapped.

The Young Lions take on the Azzuri at Mansfield Town's One Call Stadium on Wednesday 24 October.
