Gibson & Hibbert Miss Out
Naismith also a doubt for trip to Wigan
Gibson (thigh) hasn’t featured since limping out of the defeat at West Brom but is expected to be back in contention for the game at QPR following the international break.
Hibbert, meanwhile, hasn’t played since the draw with Newcastle because of a calf injury.
The Blues’ only other doubt is Scotland international Steven Naismith, who is also struggling with a calf problem.
“The only other issue we have is Steven Naismith who has a calf strain. We are just being a little bit careful with him as we don’t want to bring him back too quickly.
“We have been monitoring it and we will have another look at it today.”
Moyes also revealed that despite him scoring twice against Southampton last week, he feels Nikica Jelavic isn’t yet firing on all cylinders.
“I think Jelavic is one of these boys who needs to train and needs to play and you could see on Saturday after 50-55 minutes his socks were half down,” he said. “We need to get him where we feel as if he's really ready enough for 90 minutes and we've just not been able to get that.
“He's had a couple of niggles which we've had to look after. So it's something we're aware of that maybe he can't always at the present time do the 90. But I'm hoping in a couple of weeks once we've got a bit more training into him he'll be there. The games help him as well so hopefully he might play again for Croatia and that him get ready for the full games.”
