Warm Welcome Boosts Oviedo
Bryan Oviedo is settling in well at Everton thanks to warm welcome
Bryan Oviedo is finding it easy adjusting to life at Everton - thanks to the famous warm welcome from the Goodison Park dressing room.
The deadline day signing from FC Copenhagen earned his first outing for the Toffees as a sub in Saturday's 3-0 mauling of Swansea.
The left-sided player admits he already feels at home in the dressing room despite having only trained with his new teammates for a week because of his international commitments.
He told evertontv: "I only met them last Monday but what impressed me was what a superb group we've got here. They are all top players and I can't wait to work with them. But what also really impressed me was the warm reception they gave me. Everybody seems really approachable and down to earth and they are a good set of lads."
A Costa Rica international, Oviedo's opportunity to ingratiate himself with his new teammates was delayed by his country's involvement in back-to-back matches with Mexico earlier this month.
He added: "Any match for your own country is very important. It is a unique experience to play for the Costa Rican side but now I can't wait to get working with the team and doing positive things for this Club.
"It has been great since I joined the Club. Obviously I'm keen to get going with training and playing and I can't wait to get a chance to start with the lads, perform well, do my best and work hard for the team and fight for the cause."
Having been given his first taste of action for the Blues, Oviedo made his first start in Tuesday night's Capital One Cup tie at Leeds United.
