Jagielka And Baines Start
Duo named in England side to face Ukraine at Wembley.
Defenders Leighton Baines and Phil Jagielka will both start England's World Cup qualifier against Ukraine tonight.
It is the first time two Everton players have been named in a Three Lions starting XI for a competitive fixture since Phil Neville and Andy Johnson ran out against Israel in March 2007.
The Blues duo have been included in Roy Hodgson's side for the Wembley visit of the Euro 2012 co-hosts after Ashley Cole and John Terry dropped out of the squad due to ankle injuries.
Baines deputised for Cole and scored his first international goal during Friday's 5-0 rout of Moldova, while Jagielka is Hodgson's only change from the game in Chisinau after seeing off competition from Chelsea's Gary Cahill.
The switch will see Jagielka and Baines line up at the back alongside Glen Johnson and former Toffees defender Joleon Lescott, while the midfield will again be comprised of James Milner, Frank Lampard, Tom Cleverley, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and captain Steven Gerrard.
Jermain Defoe continues in attack after marking his 50th England cap with a goal against the Moldovans. Manchester City's Joe Hart will keep goal.
In June, the Three Lions defeated Ukraine 1-0 in their final group game to qualify for the quarter-finals of Euro 2012 before bowing out to Italy on penalties.
The action gets underway at Wembley at 8pm. Look out on evertonfc.com for a full report later or follow us on Twitter for goal updates.
