Scott Throws Down Gauntlet
Midfielder wants European football.
Jill Scott has challenged Everton Ladies to win their remaining four fixtures and secure Champions League football.
The Blues fought back in the final minutes of the midweek Merseyside derby to grab a 2-1 win at Liverpool - and the midfielder wants to continue an impressive six-game unbeaten run in the WSL.
She said: "We've got four games now to get that Champions League spot and we know that we have to try and win them all.
"We've probably got an easier run-in than the teams around us, but Birmingham have got a better goal difference. It's almost in our hands if we try to get as many goals as we can and win all of our games."
Next up for the Toffees is the visit of Doncaster Rovers to the Arriva Stadium on Sunday.
Everton have already beaten the visitors twice this season - 1-0 in the Continental Cup and 2-1 less than a month ago in the league.
But despite those victories and recent form, Scott insists the Blues will have their work cut out for them at the weekend.
"Doncaster will be going into the game off the back of one win in six so they'll be hoping to put that right," she said.
"They're always a tough test because they are so well-organised. However, being at home, hopefully we'll get another big crowd and another three points on the board."
Over 1,500 supporters attended the game against Liverpool - a figure all the more impressive considering the men's first team were in action simultaneously at Goodison.
Scott said: "That was a brilliant crowd, especially because the men were playing at home on the same night.
"We were really pleased that everybody turned out - it was fantastic."
Kick-off between Everton and Doncaster Rovers Belles is at 2pm on Sunday 2 September.
Tickets can be purchased on the turnstiles on the day of the game and are priced at £4 for adults and £2 for children.
