Aston Villa v Everton - Betting Preview
A range of enticing bets ahead of Saturday's clash.
Our official betting partners Paddy Power are back with a preview of Saturday's trip to Aston Villa.
After the high of beating Manchester United, Everton find themselves slight favourites for the clash with the Midlands outfit.
Villa were disappointing in an opening day defeat at West Ham - a result that would suggest they are still bedding in new players and getting used to new manager Paul Lambert's way of doing things.
Paddy Power price the Blues at 6/4 to take all three points, with the Villains trading at 7/4.
But historically, these games have had an uncanny tendency to throw up a draw - and a score-draw at that.
In fact, six of the last seven league fixtures between these two sides have ended in a draw, with Villa's home win in August 2010 the last time someone took maximum points.
It's a compelling statistic and Paddy Power bet 12/5 that Saturday's game will end honours-even after 90 minutes.
Apart from Villa's 1-0 win in 2010/11, the last three games between the sides at Villa Park have ended 1-1 (2011/12), 2-2 (2009/10), and 3-3 (2008/09).
If history is to repeat itself then the prices are 5/1, 13/1 and 70/1, respectively. A result of 4-4 to continue the pattern is 350/1.
Marouane Fellaini was the match-winner on Monday and the Belgian is 9/1 to be the game's first goalscorer and 10/3 to score at anytime at Villa Park.
The 11/2 price on him to be Everton's first goalscorer opens up a few more options, particularly as Darren Bent could returns for Villa and has a good strike record against the Toffees.
If you fancy Fellani's robust style of play to upset the home defence as much as it upset United's, he's 125/1 to bag himself a hat-trick.
